Brass struck medal with obverse showing clothed bust of Lincoln facing right with legend: "ABRAHAM LINCOLN/REBUPLICAN CANDIDATE"; date below bust: "1860." Reverse shows American eagle holding laurel branch and arrows with three stars below; surrounding legend: "LIBERTY UNION AND EQUALITY."
