Description:
Bronze struck medal with obverse showing clothed shoulder-length portrait of Peter Stuyvesant, with legend: "1592 PETER STUYVESANT 1672." Reverse bears inscription surrounded by laurel wreath with seal of Kingston at center below: "MDCLVIII/TO COMMEMORATE/THE TWO HUNDRED AND/FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY/OF THE FOUNDING OF/KINGSTON IN THE/STATE OF NEW YORK/MCMVIII."
