Reverse is inscribed at center: " 'I DON'T/Care ABOUT Your/PIECE OF CAKE,/BUT I/MUST/SHOW YOU/MY SORE TOE"; surrounding legend: "MANHATTAN CLUB RECEPTION, N.Y.JUNE 12.1877."
