Brass medal suspended from bar with pin back; upper bar inscription "MANZANILLO" circular medal inscription "U.S. NAVAL CAMPAIGN WEST INDIES 1898/WILLIAM/T./SAMPSON/COMMANDER IN CHIEF" with depiction of bust of William T. Sampson; reverse upper bar inscription "AUGUST 12." circular medal inscription "GUANTANAMO/JUNE 11-12-13" with depiction of three soldiers; red and blue silk ribbon connects medal to bar.
