Description:
White metal struck medal with obverse showing Independence Hall building with legend: "1776 INDEPENDENCE HALL 1876; inscription in exergue: "COMMENCED 1729/FINISHED 1734." Reverse depicts image of Liberty Bell at center with surrounding legend: "PROCLAIM LIBERTY THROUGHOUT THE LAND UNTO ALL THE INHABITANTS THEREOF/1776 LIBERTY BELL 1876/LEV. XXV VX." Hole punched at center top; red silk ribbon tied to metal loop; medal inset into yellow circular cardboard box.
