Description:
Bronze struck medallion with obverse showing elevation of temple with legend: "1825 ONE HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY 1925"; inscription in exergue: "CONGREGATION/B'NAI JESHURUN/NEW YORK." Reverse bears rectangular reserve at center depicting new-Gothic temple building with Hebrew text above and inscription: "THE FIRST/SYNAGOGUE/ELM STREET/COMMEMORATING/ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF SERVICE/GOD - ISRAEL - HUMANITY." Black leather square fitted case with green silk satin and silk velvet lining.

This medal commemorates the one hundredth anniversary of the founding of the conservative B'nai Jeshurun synagogue in 1825, the second synagogue in New York City, and the oldest in continuous operation.
