Description:
Struck white metal medal, obverse with eagle perched upon shield surrounded by naval and military attributes and the Cap of Liberty; under row of stars above, eye of wisdom emits rays of light upon eagle; legend around bottom center: "NATIONAL JUBILEE" and date below exergual line: "1826." Obverse bears legend: "DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE/SIGNED JULY 4: 1776." and inscription at center of field: "FOR THE/SUPPORT OF THIS/WE PLEDGE TO EACH/OTHER OUR LIVES/OUR FORTUNES &/OUR SACRED/HONOUR." Hole punched at center top.
