Five brass medals suspended from bar with pin back; Medal 1: inscripton "FOR/SERVICE/IN/THE/SPANISH/WAR" encircled by laurel wreath with a sword depicted down the center; reverse laurel wreath and eagle depicted; yellow and green silk ribbon connecting medal and bar; Medal 2: inscription "PHILIPPINE INSURRECTION/1899" with depiction of palm tree in the center with justice scale to the right and lamp to the left; reverse inscription "UNITED STATES ARMY/FOR/SERVICE" with depiction of eagle and stars depicted; blue and red silk ribbon connects medal to bar; Medal 3: inscription "ARMY OF OCCUPATION MILITARY GOVERNMENT OF CUBA/1898-1902" with depiction of laurel wreath and shield; reverse inscription "UNITED STATES ARMY/FOR/SERVICE" with depiction of eagle and stars; red, yellow and blue silk ribbon connects medal and bar; Medal 4: inscription "FOR/SERVICE/ON/THE/MEXICAN/BORDER" encircled by laurel wreath with sword down the center; reverse with depiction of eagle and laurel wreath; green and yellow silk ribbon connects medal and bar; Medal 5: inscription "PATRIA/A/LA FUERZA/DEL/ DERECHO/M.
