This tiny oval wooden box is still sealed in yellow paper that is printed in black with the words "Texan Universal Pills/ Good at all times./ Price 4 Bits" with a central drawing of a star. The sides read "Vegetable Pills/ Prepared by Jas. B. Gilamn" and "Particularly adapted to/ the climate of Texas."
