Bronze struck plaquette with obverse showing full-length frontal portrait of General Lafayette standing in front of his horse being held by attendant. Reverse bears inscription below eagle decorated with laurel wreath: "MEMORIAL TO LAFAYETTE/UNVEILED AT BROOKLYN/MAY 10 1917/BY/MARECHAL JOFFRE AND M.VIVIANI/WAR COMMISSIONERS OF FRANCE/TO THE/UNITED STATES."
