Description:
Model of Henry Hudson's sailing ship, the "Half Moon," with wooden stand; two masts with canvas sails surmounted by small canvas flags painted with lions in profile; flagpole at stern with red, white, and blue flag with central insignia; anchor suspended below bow.
Gallery Label:
The "Half Moon" was the ship in which Henry Hudson explored the coast of America and sailed up the Hudson River in 1609.
