Description:
Wooden round plane composed of a rectangular stock with a convex sole perforated by a central slit through which a convex iron blade is inserted at a downward angle and tightened by a wooden wedge.

According to the donor, this plane belonged to his grandfather, William McAllister, who was a ship's carpenter.
