Description:
Wooden rabbet plane composed of a rectangular stock with a flat sole perforated by two slits through which two blades are inserted at downward angles and tightened by wooden wedges (one missing).

According to the donor, this plane belonged to his grandfather, William McAllister, who was a ship's carpenter.
