Gold mourning ring with braided hair enclosed in glass compartment, surrounded by oval enameled plaque inscribed with the words "Parted To Meet Again"; inscription engraved on underside of plaque.

This ring contains the hair of Abraham De Peyster (1753-1798). The ring has been sized: there is a solder seam in the shank.
