Gallery Label:
Grace Stebbins (1863-1908), the only daughter of Russell and Alice Holmes (Schieffelin) Stebbins, was married to Alfred Clark Chapin (1847-1936) in 1884. Mr. Chapin was comptroller of New York State, major of Brooklyn (1888-91) and a U.S. representative from New York.
