Emmeline Dore Heckscher was the daughter of John G. Heckscher (1837-1908) and Cornelia Lawrence (Whitney) Heckscher. Her husband (d. 1926) was a lawyer and banker in New York. She was a member of the Colony Club and was one of the founders of the Girls' Branch of the Public School Athletic League.
