Silver struck medal with obverse showing female figure holding cornucopia and wreath; baled straw in background; inscription in exergue: "CERES." Reverse shows space for engraving at center surrounded by wreath of corn, fruit, and vegetables with inscription: "Awarded/Fa. Renwick Jr./Agent for American/Roofing Slate/equal to the best/Welsh."; legend around border: "NEW YORK STATE AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY."
