Description:
Bronze struck medal with obverse showing image of old-fashioned locomotive at center with Norfolk and Western Railway logo within circle above; surrounding legend: "A CENTURY OF SERVICE TO ROANOKE, VIRGINIA"; inscription in exergue: "NOVEMBER 1ST/1852 - 1952." Reverse depicts three modern trains with inscription above, at left: "Norfolk/and/Western/RAILWAY." Medal is inset into square cream-colored cardboard box.
