Description: 
Medium blue wool infantry officer's dress trousers with black piping down the side of each leg; 6 button fly (top 2 buttons fasten on the interior), 6 buttons around the waistband (one missing), right side watch pocket, vertical slit pockets at the seams of each hip; 2 straps below the waistband at the back which buckle at the center to rectangular metal buckle with double-tongued chape; waistline and pockets lined with white silk; 2 buttons near each seam inside the hems of both legs, for stirrup attachments.

These infantry trousers were worn by Colonel John T. Lockman during his service in the Civil War. The Society owns the other pieces to this uniform.
