Description:
Dark blue wool infantry officer's dress waistcoat, with 1" open stand-up collar, 9 buttons down the front, buttons cast with shield-breasted eagle with "I" on the shield, 3 pockets; reverse made of brown silk with 2 straps
Gallery Label:
This infantry officer's waistcoat was worn by Colonel John T. Lockman during his service in the Civil War. The Society also owns the other pieces of this uniform.
