Description:
Colorless blown lead glass oil lamp with spherical font with vertical lip joined by solid stem with three annular knops to trumpet-shaped base with upturned rim with downward folded edge and pontil mark.
Gallery Label:
Known as button stem lamps, these lamps with up-turned base rims (intended to catch dripping oil) were made at the South Boston Flint Glass Works, Phoenix Glass Works, New England Glass Works, and the Boston and Sandwich Glass Works.
