Description:
Khaki-colored wool Major General's double-breasted overcoat with closed double collar (2 sets hooks and eyes), 5 horn buttons down each side of the front, 2nd Division patch on the left shoulder with American Indian head in profile with red face and blue headdress, closed sleeves (no cuffs) with 2 bands of black lacing around each wrist, 2 stars between, 4-stripe overseas service chevron on left side, a vertical pocket at each hip with flaps which button closed; 1 panel on the back, pleated with 2 straps across the center at the waistline which fasten with 2 horn buttons, split skirt; lined with khaki-colored silk which is quilted in a diamond pattern, vertical slit pocket at the left breast, horizontal slit pocket at the right pocket.
