Description:
Olive drab wool overseas cap trimmed with narrow gold braid; three 5-pointed metal stars, a large one between two smaller ones, attached on one side.
Gallery Label:
According to the accession records, this cap was first worn by the donor as a corps commander and later as an army commander during World War I. The stars are said to have been made in France--one larger star and two smaller stars.
