Description:
Calling card case with ivory covers, blue velvet spine, and matching blue moiré lining; the obverse cover is carved in an oval-shaped floral design; when opened, the inside of each cover has a single-compartment pocket, open edge toward spine and with accordioned sides, and between them along the inside spine is a notepad; the case is secured closed with three moiré loops, two on the obverse and one on the reverse, through which is drawn a slender pencil.
Gallery Label:
This calling card case belonged to Mrs. Alfred Roelker, the mother of Anna Roelker. The notepad inside was used as an address book. Two of her calling cards remain inside.
