Pair of children's wrap-around UV-filter sunglasses with "2000" frame; yellow plastic frame with multi-color glitter embedded; black plastic lenses.

These children's sunglasses were purchased by Jan Ramirez, director of the Museum division of the N-YHS, at several souvenir shops in the immediate vicinity of Times Square shortly after the first of the year. It represents one of the many types of souvenirs hawked to revelers in Times Square on New Year's Eve, 2000.
