Bronze struck medal with obverse showing North American and South American Indian smoking a peace pipe; inscription above: "BVFFALO/V.S.A. MCMI." Reverse depicts nude female allegorical figure of Liberty with buffalo; legend above: "PAN-AMERICAN EXPOSITION"; tablet with award inscription in exergue: "SERGEANT KENDALL." Medal is inset into square green cloth-covered presentation case with dark red silk velvet interior.
