Bronze struck medal with obverse depicting male and female nudes symbolizing the union of the western hemisphere by the Panama Canal; legend below: "DIVINE DISIVINCTA IVNXIT HOMO." Reverse depicts the Tower of Jewels flanked by palm leaves with ornate tablet below inscribed: "MEDAL/OF AWARD"; surrounding legend: "PANAMA-PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION SAN-FRANCISCO/MCMXV." Circular black cloth-covered box with mustard yellow silk moire interior.
