Description:
Colorless, lead glass; pressed. Rectangular pane with recessed rim; in the center a panel with a side-wheel river boat; above it "J. & C. RITCHIE", on either side of the panel two large vases with flowers and leaves, underneath a thistle above a shell as the center of two geometric horns-of-plenty which support the vases, "lacy" or stippled background.
Gallery Label:
Eight identical panes were found in a secretary bookcase in 1955; one is currently in the collections of the Corning Museum of Glass, another in the collection of the Oglebay Mansion Museum in Wheeling, West Virginia.
