This variegated marble paperweight has a metal plate on top with a bas-relief of New York City with the Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty and is engraved: Presented by the Joint Commitee of Citizens,/ Merchants and Manufacturers of New York and Vicinity/ June 10, 1897/ From Mexico and the Central and South American Countries/ Souvenir to the Visiting Delegates.
