Parasol with ivory ball ferrule with ivory-colored silk tassel, black lace over ivory-colored silk shade, collapsible ivory shaft with sliding metal collar, and plain, rounded ivory handle.

According to the accession records, this parasol belonged to Mrs. Frank Squier (Frances Henrietta Estella Marshall, 1843-1892), the donor' mother. It is described as a "carriage parasol."
