Description:
Molded whiteware covered dish, small platter (both with flowers or foliage in low relief), large platter, soup plate, footed bowl, and four plates (various sizes); rimmed in gold and decorated with crossed flags (2) in blue with red cross and red with blue stripe and one white star with gold poles and inscriptions generally near rim.

This is part of the dinner service of the steam yacht "Eugenia" (Length:113 feet; Waterline: 91 feet, 6 inches), which was deisgned by W.G. Herreshoff and built by Herreshoff Co., in Bristol, Rhode Island, in 1904; the yacht was intended for John B. Herrshoff. The donor was the yacht's last owner.
