Bronze struck medal with obverse showing nude male on winged horse, flanked by figure of nude soldier in helmet, holding a sword, at left, and allegorical figure of Fame, with palm branch and laurel wreath; inscriptions: "JUSTICE", at left, with scales below, and "PEACE", at right, with the American Numismatic Society Logo above. Reverse depicts frontal view of the Versailles palace building surrounded by laurel wreath with sun above; inscription above: "PEACE OF VERSAILLES"; scrolling band beneath with date: "1919"; inscription in exergue: "THE AMERICAN NUMISMATIC SOCIETY." Medal is inset into cream-colored square cardboard box.
