Pedlar doll with composition shoulder head, molded black hair, molded and painted facial features including blue pupilless eyes, closed mouth, and pink tinted cheeks; stuffed cloth body with jointed limbs; blue velvet bonnet over lace cap, brown checked dress with black sash at waist, brown apron, plaid shawl with fringe, over plain petticoat and brown leather shoes; doll holds tray filled with miniature items, including books, combs, playing cards, chair, playing cards, pincushions, stationery, sheet music, and two bisque dolls (one Caucasian, one African); hats, purses, fans, and assorted miniature goods dangle from the outside of the tray.
