Description:
Wood, iron, and brass percussion pistol; iron mountings; thistle-shaped trigger guard with engraved floral designs; engraved floral designs on hammer, lockplate, and barrel tang; brass wedges with circular estucheons; checkered handle with eagle-shaped butt cap; stamped mark on barrel; one pistol has a brass-capped wooden ramrod.
Gallery Label:
According to accession records, Henry Parker was listed as a Trenton gunsmith in 1857, in partnership with a man named Boughton. Dresser was not mentioned. The pistols are probably dueling pistols.
