Bronze struck medal with obverse showing two allegorical female figures with shields standing upon world globe section labelled "AMERICA" with exhibition building at center against rising sun in background; legend above: "SEE HOW WE PROSPER." Reverse depicts uniformed bust of French officer facing left with legend: "A L'HONNEUR DES VISITEURS FRANCAIS DE L'EXPOSITION INTERNATIONALE/A PHILADELPHIA/1876."
