Wooden carved medal with obverse showing undraped bust of Alphred Goshorn facing left with surrounding legend: "ALPHRED T. GOSHORN/DIRECTOR GENERAL U. S. INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION." Reverse is inscribed at center: "GREAT/INTERNATIONAL/EXHIBITION/FAIRMOUNT PARK/PHILADELPHIA/4th OF JULY"; legend: "THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE/1876."
