Description:
Physician's leather saddlebag containing eight cylindrical metal medicine containers, six of them with corks with handwritten inscriptions, and two glass medicine vials with corks.

According to the accession records, a saddlebag in the collection similar to this one dates from the Civil War period (1861-1865).
