This button was manufactured for Hill & Wang Inc. in support of libraries and education. Hill & Wang was founded in 1956 and became a part of Farrar, Strauss & Giroux publishing in 1971. Hill & Wang published books with an academic focus for both the trade and college markets, including titles in American and world history, politics, and theatre. Among the prominent Hill & Wang authors were Roland Barthes, John F. Kasson, Langston Hughes and Elie Wiesel.
