Earthenware Liverpool-type pitcher with black transfer-printed decoration relating to American independence; one side transfer-printed with oval reserve bearing inscription, surrounded by laurels, flags, liberty cap on pole, and banner inscribed "INDEPENDENCE"; other side transfer-printed with map of eastern United States and figures of George Washington and liberty; under spout, transfer printed circle of laurels with words "SUCCESS/TO/AMERICA"
