This heavy gold-colored metal plaque has a relief in the center of men working around a furnace marked "Test Furnace", and an open safe. Around the rim are the words "S.C. Herring & Co.s/ Fire Proof Safe/ May 18th 1852./ 251 Broadway Cor. Murry St. N.Y."
