Description: 
Plaster cast made from an inscribed pewter plate originally mounted inside the North Dutch Church at William and Fulton Streets in New York City; square, light gray and brown tinted surface covered from edge to edge with intaglio inscriptions; gold painted wooden frame.
Gallery Label: 
According to the 1916 "Year Book of The Holland Society of New York" (p. 776), the original pewter plate was installed in the North Dutch Church, which was erected in the 1760s, by Deacon Garrett Abeel, one of the church's commissioners. The nine-inch square plate was removed in June, 1875, when the building was dismantled.
