Description:
Molded lead-glazed earthenware (pearlware, also known as Pratt ware) plate with basket weave pattern border in low relief broken by three medallions with crowns, thistles, and a rose; at the center of the plate is a bas-relief bust of a man in a red military uniform with an inscribed banner beneath; plate is decorated with red, green, blue, gray, and yellow overglaze, and with purple luster highlights on the border.
