Description:
Molded pearlware plate transfer-printed with dark blue image of the Aqueduct Bridge at Little Falls; plate has border of oak leaves and acorns with a stippled background; medallion of Thomas Jefferson at top; image of Columbia College at center of plate, and image of aqueduct bridge at Little Falls below.

This plate is from Ralph Stevenson's medallion portrait series, which commemorates outstanding political figures, famous buildings, and the completion of the Erie Canal.
