Molded lobe-edge pearlware plate with molded relief border and black transfer print decoration of portrait bust, labelled "General Jackson/ The Hero of New Orleans", line of black ink around portrait and around edge.

The transfer print is based on an 1828 engraving by C.G. Childs of Philadelphia after a portrait by J. Wood.
