Description:
Porcelain platter; octagonal with four peach colored reserves surrounded by blue arabesque borders alternating with floral decorations of pink, blue, orange, purple, and green enamel on white ground; floral decoration of pink, blue, orange, purple, and green enamel on white ground at center of platter; floral gilding within reserves and on edges.
Gallery Label:
This platter belonged to Frederic de Peyster (1796-1882), recording secretary, vice president and president of the N-YHS between 1850 and 1882.
