Description:
Colorless pressed lead glass platter; hexagonal with concave corners, with pairs of leaves with stippled background on four straight sides, and perspective view of steam locomotive pulling three railroad cars at center.

According to accession records, this platter was probably made to commemorate the opening of the Union Pacific Railroad in 1869.
