Description:
Gold pocket watch with convex crystal facing; white enamel dial with arabic numeral hours and minute markings; hour and minute hands; flat circular pendant knob with steel spokes projecting on either side.
Gallery Label:
This watch belonged to Judge Leffert Lefferts (1727-1804) of Brooklyn, who sat at the court martial of Major John André (1750-1780). The donor is his great-great nephew.
