Description:
Gold pocket watch in double-covered, closed-faced case with round knob and ring stirrup at the top center, with 2 keys in leather pouch; both sides of the case have imbricated design in a circular pattern; white porcelain face has Roman numeral hour markings, hour and minute hands at the center, separate second time keeper at the bottom center, wind-minding indicator at the top center; watch keys have knobs with swivel ring stirrups at the top, circular heads and straight jaws; brown leather pouch has green snap fastener at the front.

A note found with this pocket watch indicates that it may have been used by Alexander Newell around 1850.
