Description:
Three matching leather pockets, accordioned on the vertical sides, with inscription in center on one side of each.
Gallery Label:
The Saint Nicholas Society was established in 1835 by Washington Irving, to promote the preservation of the remembrace of the first Dutch settlers of New Amsterdam. Saint Nicholas was the patron saint of the Dutch. The society met for a grand ceremonial banquet once a year in December.
