Description:
Bronze struck medal issued to commemorate French colonial victory in Quebec; the obverse bears nude bust of Louis XIV facing right; surrounding legend: "LUDOVICUS MAGNUS REX CHRISTIANISSIMUS." Reverse depicts seated allegorical figure of France flanked by military standards, with palm trees in backgrond; legend: "FRANCIA IN NOVO ORBE VICTRIX."; inscription in exergue: "KEBECA LIBERATA/M.DC.XC."
